25 Back To School Bible Verses
With summer break coming to an end and fall right around the corner, I compiled a list of Bible verses for kids who are heading back to school. Here are some ways you might use these verses:
- Read over them with your kids
- Talk about what they mean and how they might be helpful this year
- Print them out and stick them in your child’s lunch box or backpack
- Print out one of the graphics on cardstock to hang in their locker
1. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go. Joshua 1:9
2. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God. Philippians 4:6
3. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you. 1 Peter 5:7
4. God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble. Psalms 46:1
5. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.” Matthew 19:26
6. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding. Proverbs 2:6
7. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding. Proverbs 9:10
8. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you. James 1:5
9. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen. Ephesians 4:29

14. In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps. Proverbs 16:9
15. May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed. Psalms 20:4
16. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters. Colossians 3:23
17. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven. Matthew 5:16
18. Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it. Proverbs 22:6
19. Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 11:18-19
20. I can do all this through him who gives me strength. Philippians 4:13

23. Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity. 1 Timothy 4:12
