25 Back To School Bible Verses

With summer break coming to an end and fall right around the corner, I compiled a list of Bible verses for kids who are heading back to school. Here are some ways you might use these verses:

  • Read over them with your kids
  • Talk about what they mean and how they might be helpful this year
  • Print them out and stick them in your child’s lunch box or backpack
  • Print out one of the graphics on cardstock to hang in their locker

1. Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go.     Joshua 1:9

2. Do not be anxious about anything, but in every situation, by prayer and petition, with thanksgiving, present your requests to God.     Philippians 4:6

3. Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you.     1 Peter 5:7

4. God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.     Psalms 46:1

5. Jesus looked at them and said, “With man this is impossible, but with God all things are possible.”     Matthew 19:26

 

6. For the Lord gives wisdom; from his mouth come knowledge and understanding.     Proverbs 2:6

7. The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom, and knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.     Proverbs 9:10

8. If any of you lacks wisdom, you should ask God, who gives generously to all without finding fault, and it will be given to you.     James 1:5

9. Do not let any unwholesome talk come out of your mouths, but only what is helpful for building others up according to their needs, that it may benefit those who listen.     Ephesians 4:29

10. So in everything, do to others what you would have them do to you, for this sums up the Law and the Prophets.     Matthew 7:12

 

11. Do nothing out of selfish ambition or vain conceit. Rather, in humility value others above yourselves.     Philippians 2:3

12. Whoever disregards discipline comes to poverty and shame, but whoever heeds correction is honored.     Proverbs 13:8

13. Commit to the Lord whatever you do, and he will establish your plans.     Proverbs 16:3

14. In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps.     Proverbs 16:9

15. May he give you the desire of your heart and make all your plans succeed.     Psalms 20:4

16. Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters.     Colossians 3:23

17. In the same way, let your light shine before others, that they may see your good deeds and glorify your Father in heaven.     Matthew 5:16

18. Start children off on the way they should go, and even when they are old they will not turn from it.     Proverbs 22:6

19. Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up.     Deuteronomy 11:18-19

20. I can do all this through him who gives me strength.     Philippians 4:13

21. Trust in the Lord with all your heart and lean not on your own understanding; in all your ways submit to him, and he will make your paths straight.     Proverbs 3:5-6

22. Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, “This is the way; walk in it.”     Isaiah 30:21

23. Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.     1 Timothy 4:12

25. And my God will meet all your needs according to the riches of his glory in Christ Jesus.     Philippians 4:19

25. “For I know the plans I have for you,” declares the Lord, “plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you hope and a future.     Jeremiah 29:11
