Birthday Cake Popcorn
In celebration of my birthday today, I am going to share a birthday recipe, Birthday Cake Popcorn. I made this at Christmas for my family gathering and it disappeared rather quickly.

This Birthday Cake Popcorn recipe is an addictive snack that everyone is sure to love.
Ingredients
- 1-1/2 cup Melted Almond Bark or White Chocolate
- 1/4 cup Shortening
- 1-1/2 cup White or Yellow Cake Mix (Dry)
- 6 cups Popped Popcorn
- 1/4 cup Sprinkles
Directions
| Step 1 | Melt the almond bark or white chocolate in the microwave, stirring every 30 seconds. |
| Step 2 | Add the shortening and stir until it melts into the chocolate. |
| Step 3 | Add the cake mix to the melted chocolate. |
| Step 4 | Pour the chocolate over the popcorn. I use a large bowl with lid and shake it to coat the popcorn. I also try to pick out the unpopped kernals before doing this. |
| Step 5 | Spread the popcorn out onto cookie sheets to cool. Sprinkle with colorful sprinkles before the chocolate hardens. |
| Step 6 | Let the popcorn cool and then enjoy! |
